Know If Your Bunny is Happy or Sad

petsPeople, you know how it feels when no one can understand you, the same way that you cannot understand the others, right? This is the same case with your pet bunny. You may have shared the same room together for so long but still don’t understand what your rabbit means by that signal.
I know you all want to understand your pets but, seriously you need a lot of time and patience. With more time together with your pet, I know you’ll do great job in recognizing his favorites and his personality. Now, let’s all learn some of their common signals.

petsHave you ever noticed your bunny softly grinding his teeth? Well, that’s nice, because it only means that your pet is happy. You’ll see this often when you stroke him on his favorite spot, usually on his cheeks or behind his ears. When you see him happy and contented, you’ll also hear soft coos from your bunny.

If you see your rabbit thumping loudly with back feet, it hints you that he’s frightened. He may also do this when he’s angry. At times, you just have to feel what his disposition is because loud thumping can also mean that he’s happy and wants to catch your attention.

When you hear your bunny honking like a goose, it wants your attention.
When you hear your bunny hiss or growl, it implies he is in danger and he is getting ready to strike the feared object by scratching or biting it. When he does this, ignore him until he quiets down.

When you hear your bunny squealing loudly, don’t disregard this; it could be something very bad. Your pet may be in tremendous pain or is dreadfully scared. When extremely startled, your bunny may die of heart attack.

Dog with no Face is a Hero

All pets especially dogs can be great partners by giving their loyalty and fondness for their masters in each and every day. However, there are special ones who reach above and beyond the usual human-animal bond to serve and look after their human companions even it means to sacrifice their lives. Every one of us loves a hero, and every single one of us wants to have a hero. The following account tells a true-to-life story of a horribly disfigured dog. The heroic account of Kabang is one of the most touching scenes on a typical subject of a pet dog as a great rescuer. In this story, we see beauty in the beast.

Pets
On the day of December 14, 2011, cousins Dina and Princess were hiking across a street unaware of a speeding motorcycle moving towards them. At the most critical moments, the dog hero came forward and leaped into the vehicle’s trail. The children just lost their footing but were fortunately uninjured. The driver, equally unharmed brought the children to the hospital for treatment of bruises. An eyewitness reported the whole story. He was eating his lunch in an eatery when he saw how Kabang shielded the kids from sure harm by blocking the vehicle’s path. On the word of the witness, the Kabang’s head landed speedily on the front wheel. As the wheels revolved, the dog’s upper snout was caught.

Dina’s father also witnessed the heroic deed of their dog, Kabang. While painful for them to see their dog with disfigured face, they could not do whatever thing there is to save her. The dog ran away and was gone for 2 weeks. When Kabang returned home, she looked bad, with half of her face lost, but the family she tried to save couldn’t care less.

Dog training
Dina’s father recounted how this sweet puppy came into their lives. Kabang, being an unwanted puppy, was left to die in a swamp. Luckily, Dina’s father saw the poor puppy and rescued it. This is just one of the great stories that prove these pets as man’s best friend. Their dependability, cleverness, attachment, and fondness are amazingly satisfying. From a walk in the park, being greeted each morning with a playful wagging tail and being remarkable bodyguards, owning dogs as pets lift the spirits and bring about a sense of security.

To become healthy, physically, psychologically, cognitively and emotionally, humans need to get in touch with living things.
Puppies
The human-animal relationship bares something as simple as having pets can keep us from developing heart problems, cancer and misery. Our pets are a great source of unconditional love and care; therefore, they will definitely be valuable in improving the health and comfort of cancer patients.

There is even a cancer specialist who narrated to have often prescribed pet therapy for his patients who revealed that social connectedness, which comprises the love of a pet, can save many of us from cancer. He also accounted how stressful was his job before he retired. But after coming home from a demanding day, his dog would wait for him at the door. He said that it’s not only the mutual fondness and exercise good for him and his pet, but the connection with the pet alone stimulates the release of endorphins that relax the body and aid in releasing anxiety.

Dog kennels
Recognized today as treatment for cancer that makes use of many different types of animals including cats, dogs, dolphins, fish, and horses among others, animal assisted therapy provides considerable advantages to cancer patients during their chemotherapy. We know for a fact that patients with cancer frequently experience a high level of stress and anxiety. This is why hospitals now regularly use pets such as dogs and cats to assist patients after surgical operation or during chemotherapy.

Dogs
Patients may not have their loved ones always present by their side to give hourly companionship and encouragement. With pets around, patients are able to communicate their fears and concerns more comfortably. Another good thing to be happy about is knowing that pets are favorable in cancer patients in reducing anxiety and stress, and thus permit the patient to concentrate his energy on recovering. A study was done to test the efficiency of pet therapy, and fortunately, the results shoe considerable improvement in the cancer patients’ blood pressure, cardiac rate and salivary immunoglobulin-A levels. We have always known that cancer and cancer treatments entail the experience of terrible pain. Fortunately, we have pets to function as service animals which have been found to lessen pain perception in people undergoing chemotherapy and other cancer treatments.

Cute Bunnies as House Pets

Who doesn’t find a bunny stuffed animal so cute? Yes, they’re all adorably cute, and so the real bunnies. They don’t bark or create loud noises, so these are perfect pets for those who don’t want to disturb their neighbors. These animals are the best pets for the aged. Because they are usually clean, tame and somewhat loving, they can be great house pets.

Now, you decided to buy one. You brought him at home; you’ve got all what you need. But look at your pet; he seems to be very scared stiff and shy of you. No need to worry. You’ll win him over with time and persistence. For now, try to bond with your bunny the proper way. First, bunnies are not toys. They can be cuter than cuddly toys but don’t assume they like to be hugged and cuddled. In fact, bunnies don’t like that. It is okay to cuddle them but not constantly because they will be frightened. If you have bunnies, then you should provide them home. These pets need their own personal space where they can play and rest without any threats around. Better yet, designate a part of your home where your rabbits will stay. Consider it as their castle, and make sure that their place is not intruded.

Like a child, a bunny will be happy playing in the cage with toys and stuffs that will keep him busy inside. You may leave the cage open because your bunny is a curious little animal who loves to roam around. If you want him to be really happy, then make him a dig box. Take a box, and fill it with dry hay. Hide some treats below and watch your cute bunny having fun.

Your bunny needs to get familiar with you. So every day, park yourself somewhere near his house and read out loud for hours. Let him become used to your own voice. Make sure you maintain your voice as calm as possible and do not yell. After days, you notice that your bunny has started to become comfortable with you. Well, I applaud you for that.
