What would exactly happen if your pet arrives to office with you? He’d bring you coffee and throw scratches to the bin. But seriously, are pets useful when brought in the office? A study has revealed that when people talk to people, blood pressure increases, but when people talk with animals, blood pressure decreases. Another study has disclosed the fact that pets have calming effects on individuals under mental stress. There’s another test which involved forty-eight stockbrokers who have hypertension. ½ of them were sent at home with an antihypertensive drug while the other ½ were given a drug and a pet. It was found out that people who have pets with them have lower response to psychological stress.

A freelancer may sometimes have flexibility in their work, but still, it can be demanding and taxing sometimes. The work is also solitary; this is why having pets at work can be valuable. Also, not like people, pets are not rude and do not condemn your work. Animals don’t scream at you if your work has problems

At work, your pets give you love, care and support, which makes you energized and more self-assured. They also push you to get out of your seat from time to time and be active for a little moment; increasing the level of your serotonin.

Another good pet to keep at work is a cat. Research has shown that a cat’s meow is the level of frequency that can reduce the chemicals in the brain during stressful events. And what’s more, there is something comforting about petting a cat for many times.
